Youth Services Workshop

The Arkansas State Library hosts the annual Youth Services Workshop for all public library or school library media specialist staff working with ages pre-school through teen.

This day long event features a special keynote speaker and up to eighteen break out session options focused on improving professional knowledge and rejuvenating the passion of those who serve these challenging age groups.

Registration is required and will be limited to 200 participants. Registration opens in October 2024.

In preparation for the 2025 Summer Reading Theme, Color Our World, the Youth Services Workshop will focus on elevating participants’ personal creative confidence and employing creative development exercises in the library. Presenters Noah Scalin and Mica Scalin are siblings who have been collaborating since they first met. Their company, Another Limited Rebellion, focuses on using artistic practices to cultivate meaningful growth and change in individuals, organizations, and communities.
