Library Science Professional Collection

The Arkansas State Library maintains a large library science collections. The collection includes books, print journals, online databases and other materials geared toward librarians, library staff, and students working towards an MLS or related degree.

The Library Science Collection has nearly 5,000 print items that may be searched or browsed from the online catalog, and online digital resources which may be accessed from the library's public access computers.

Interlibrary loans requests can be made from public and academic libraries around the state for those that do not have an ASL library card. Remote access to online databases is restricted to state government agents not employed by a state-supported education institution.

The Library Science collection is located on the second floor of the library at 900 W. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, AR 72201. Library hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. The State Library is closed during state holidays.
