If All Arkansas Read the Same Book

The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson

Bestselling author Kim Michele Richardson’s novel, The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek (Sourcebooks Landmark, 2019), has been selected for the 2020 If All Arkansas Read the Same Book community-read project. The novel’s background is the WPA Packhorse Library initiative in Kentucky during the Great Depression, and the book has been popular since its publication with book club readers around the state and country.

The author will be speaking at the Hempstead County Library (Hope) and the South Arkansas Community College Library (El Dorado) on July 17, 2020, and at the Cabot Public Library and the CALS Ron Robinson Theater (Little Rock) on July 18, 2020. More details will be forthcoming closer to the events.
