E-Rate Training for Funding Year 2025

Join the Arkansas State Library to learn about E-Rate for Funding Year 2025 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026), including program updates and the addition of hotspot eligibility for the upcoming filing cycle. Training will be offered both in-person and online to allow libraries from all over the state to participate.


In-Person Event Information

Training will be offered in-person in Springdale, Little Rock, and Wynne. Training will start at 10 am and finish at approximately 2 pm, including a working lunch provided by the Arkansas State Library.

We will cover the E-Rate process from required forms, program timeline, and program rules to changes for the upcoming funding year. We will also discuss the new eligibility for hotspots for patron lending including the 3-year budget formula, data usage requirements, inventory tracking, and acceptable use policies.

  • December 12, 2024, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Arkansas State Library, Little Rock, AR
  • December 17, 2024, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Cross County Library, Wynne, AR

Virtual Event Information

Virtual training will be split into two parts: E-Rate for Hotspot Lending and E-Rate for Funding Year 2025. Participants may register for one or both of the virtual sessions.

November 20, 2024, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: E-Rate for Hotspot Lending
This session will focus exclusively on E-Rate eligibility for hotspot lending. We will discuss all the traditional E-Rate rules that apply to hotspots, plus new requirements for data usage, inventory tracking, and acceptable use policies. We will also cover the 3-year budget calculation for hotspot requests.

December 18, 2024, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: E-Rate for Funding Year 2025
Training will cover an overview of the E-Rate program including required forms, program timeline, and program rules. We will also cover changes and updates for the upcoming funding year. *We will not go in-depth on the new requirements for hotpots in this session.
