E-Rate is a program through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that allows schools and libraries to receive discounts on connectivity such as telecommunications and internet access. By funding discounts on connectivity, E-Rate allows schools and libraries to keep pace with constantly evolving technology.

The Arkansas Center for the Book was established in 2000 and is an affiliate of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Headquartered at the Arkansas State Library, the Arkansas Center for the Book exists to encourage reading, writing, and literacy in Arkansas, and to protect the rich literary history of Arkansas by preserving and promoting books and literature within the state.
The Arkansas State Library is legislatively mandated to serve as the Regional Federal Depository Library for the state of Arkansas. Regional depositories receive all of the publications distributed by the Government Publishing Office and permanently retain at least one tangible copy of each publication.

The Arkansas State Library accepts Interlibrary Loan requests from public, college, university, and special libraries, as well as requests for work-related materials for full-time permanent Arkansas state employees.
Requests may be made in person, over the phone, or with our online forms.
ILL staff can usually obtain articles or other items that can be scanned fairly quickly; books usually take longer to obtain due to USPS deliveries. If you need an item in a hurry, please let the ILL staff know as soon as possible.

The Institute of Museum and Library Services Grants to States program is the largest source of federal funding support for library services in the U.S. The Arkansas State Library is the officially designated State Library Administrative Agency for Arkansas.
Pursuant to A.C.A. §§ 13-2-212, all Arkansas state agencies, boards and commissions, state-supported colleges and universities, are required to deposit copies of their documents with the Arkansas State Library for inclusion in the State Documents Depository, and for distribution throughout the state via the official The State and Local Government Publications Clearinghouse.
The State Documents Depository at the Arkansas State Library permanently retains all materials in both the Arkansas Documents and Arkansas Rules collections. Digital state documents are freely accessible for viewing and download from the State Library's online repository at Arkansas Documents Digital Collections.
